Aggreko has launched three Tier 4 Final diesel generators designed for remote Canadian work sites, offering 145 kW, 210 kW and 1,200 kW capacities at 600V. The company said the models will be available exclusively to Canadian contractors and are configured to meet local market and regulatory requirements.
The units use the latest Aggreko technologies to provide reliable, low-emissions power for commercial and industrial applications. All three models are CSA and UN31A compliant to meet Canadian electrical and fuel regulations, according to the company.
Onboard 600V output for large industrial loads
The 1,200 kW model offers onboard 600V capability, which Aggreko says eliminates the need for additional step-up transformers. The company states that direct 600V output reduces project complexity, enhances cost-efficiency and minimizes potential points of failure. It is aimed especially at large industrial loads where 600V is frequently required.
“Tailoring our most advanced generators for our Canadian customers underscores the importance of this market for Aggreko,” said Paul Nascimento, managing director for Canada at Aggreko. He said large petrochemical and mining industries need power across vast and remote territories, alongside thriving construction and data centre sectors. Canada therefore has clear demand for engineered energy solutions that are both powerful and precisely configured, he added.
Canopy units and fleet range
The 145 kW and 210 kW models are readily deployed canopy units for immediate energy needs. The 1,200 kW model is positioned for large industrial loads. The new additions bolster Aggreko’s Canadian fleet, which offers solutions from 25 kW to 1,200 kW.
Aggreko said the Canadian units pair its latest generator technologies with hardware tailored to the specific requirements of operating in Canada. The company designed the models to meet and exceed local market needs, including large industrial projects that require 600V power. Aggreko said the launch responds to demand for power in remote territories and for off-grid data centre operations.
Through its network of Canadian service centres, Aggreko’s energy experts will work with customers in data centres, construction, oil and gas, mining and events to deploy temporary power for a range of applications.
Emissions, noise and off-grid data centre power
All three generators are said to provide industry-leading fuel efficiency, ultra-low emissions and significantly controlled noise levels, surpassing local requirements. Aggreko also sees the models as well-suited to Canada’s expanding data centre industry. As provincial regulators look to limit how much power data centre operators pull from the grid, the company says its Tier 4 Final generators can provide the off-grid energy needed to keep data centres operational in a way that is minimally disruptive to communities.
